About Us

Way back, at the birth of what we now know as Club Culture, when raves ruled the English countryside and party organisers gathered into travelling communities – 12 tribes inconspicuously came together to form an alliance and from this was born the concept of LOVE.
Years later, as times changed and corporations watered down the true ethos of the dance movement, LOVE with its spirit of the original tribes, quietly gained momentum to become a new form of corporation, mixing social entrepreneurship with holistic aims.

Nowadays the LOVE Organisation is itself a corporation with many different brands, aiming to keep the balance by offering alternative dance culture - it's this organisation that has joined forces with a proficient, hand-picked Canadian group to create the Summer Music Conference [SMC].
The SMC works with both amateur and top professional DJs but we are not DJ-centric in any way, meaning we do not solely rely on big names to fill our events, dictate our music policies or influence our decisions.

Clubbers and music lovers must learn how to experience new things, listen first and then vote with their feet in order to keep the international scene fresh and vibrant.

During this exceptional five day experience we incorporate live music, film, fashion and much more. Throughout the conference week thousands of tourists and locals alike will enjoy a fun packed programme of showcases and events, accelerating local financial growth, whilst promoting ecologically and socially responsible ideas.
SMC will create an unforgettable experience, expanding boundaries, generating new business opportunities and identifying trends for the future.

As well as shining a spotlight on Toronto, all participants are asked to adopt the original ethos of the 12 tribes - PEACE, LOVE and UNITY.
